22mm MDF Laminated with HPL
Solid Beech Edges
Tabletops that are 22mm thick are made from extremely
strong medium density fiberboard (MDF) that is stiff,
knot-free, and has smooth edges. The tops are laminated
with high-pressure laminate (HPL) using heat (80-90 Celsius)
and pressure (250 kgs/m2). No added formaldehyde (NAF).
Available in beige or white or gray wood-themed colors. Edges
made from solid beechwood and coated with protective
varnish, featuring smooth and rounded edges for safety.
A Special rounded Edge design without spacing
when tables are grouped (shark nose Edges)

HPL vs. Melamine
High Pressure Laminate (HPL) is commonly referred to as
HPL and is manufactured under 1,000 kg/m2 of pressure,
pressing down on 6 to 8 layers of kraft paper bonded with
phenolic resin glue and topped by a polymer facing. It is used
in applications such as bench-tops, joinery, wall paneling,
lockers, and tables where scuff resistance is prominent and
important.

Substrate
When you purchase HPL sheets, they are generally not attached to a substrate such as MDF or craft wood. Attaching it
to a timber substrate is a separate process commonly referred to as “laying up the laminate”. For best results, it should be
attached to a dense substrate, such as moisture-resistant Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF), and combined with ABET
High-Pressure Laminates for the decorative surface. This results in the best possible finish with maximum durability.
